Cure Psoriasis
Cure Psoriasis is impossible but there is much that can be done to relieve it. Treatment of Psoriasis is oral medications, topical treatments and light therapy. The topical treatment of Psoriasis is coal tar, salicylic acid, topical retinoid, calcinerurin inhibitors, anthralin, moisturizers, phototherapy, vitamin D analogues, and topical cortisteroids. The oral medications for treatment of Psoriasis are hydroxyurea, immunmodulator drugs, methotrexate, cyclosporine, and retinoid. Another treatment of Psoriasis is light therapy. Light therapy is when a person uses an ultraviolet light and exposes the area affected with Psoriasis with limited amounts of light much like sunlight or artificial lights. The treatment of Psoriasis should be discussed with your doctor. Some people prefer to not use normal everyday medications or treatments for their Psoriasis. One natural treatment is the use of licorice root. A licorice is all natural and will not hurt your skin or cause the side effects that most steroid creams cause. The licorice root is an anti-inflammatory that can be used two times a day to assist with the healing process of the affected area. Directions for licorice root treatments are as follows but do remember this is not to cure psoriasis,
- Heat up a small pan of water until it reaches a hard boil
- Add two tablespoons of the licorice root to a coffee cup and pour hot water over the licorice root
- Cover cup and let stand until it is lukewarm
- Take gauze or a wash rag and dampen with licorice solution and lay it on the affected area.
- Leave the washrag or gauze on the area for up to 45 minutes then rinse with warm water.
If you have Psoriasis all over your body you may prefer a bath treatment for your Psoriasis. A bath with Lavender or salt water will assist with reducing the discomfort and appearance of the Psoriasis. The instructions for a good, soothing bath for Psoriasis are as follows,
- Draw a warm bath to hot bath. (make sure the heat is tolerable)
- Add salt to the water and finish adding water to the bath.
- After salt is dissolved add lavender oil to your water
- Sit in the bath and soak for at least 30 minutes
- After bath use a moisturizer.
